Ended up going with an option on Amazon that cheap and simple to install. Works very well. Too well, in fact; at higher pressures it’s actually too much. It’s also coldwater only since a hotwater option would involve drilling through walls/cabinetry for either electrical or a hot water line. The cold water is still a bit shocking when it kisses my bunghole but it’s not as bad as I had thought it would be.
It was the easiest and cheapest option and achieves what I wanted. The heated seat would have been nice but isn’t justified by the additional cost in the product and cost in modifying my bathroom for it.
I was actually eager to put it to use but muh bowels are real quiet right now, despite having fast food for lunch. It’ll have to wait, I guess.

I thought about getting one a few years ago, but decided that my apartment might not be happy with me messing with the plumbing. Also I was too weak to turn the water off, let alone actually unbolt the toilet supply line. Probably a big wrench would solve that, but as I say, not quite the right situation, so I’m stuck wiping.

What, no carbon fiber option?

It’s something that can quite easily be undone, but I guess it depends on your plumbing setup. The water line feeding the toilet has a small shutoff valve - they may need a bit of force to turn since its probably been stuck in the “on” position for years. My water line to the toilet is also a flexible hose, so it was easy to unscrew from the toilet.
Then you attach a T-adapter to the toilet, reattach the water line, screw in the line to the bidet and you’re done! To uninstall, you simply just shut off the water again, uninstall the T-adapter and re-attach the water supply.

Nah, not even the fancy Japanese ones I was looking at had carbon fiber.
If there was a CF one I think I might’ve bought it.

Hmm. I think you’ve discovered a new, albeit tiny, niche market.

Welcome to the good life.
We got the Neo185 last year and are still in love with it. The ‘for her’ sprays are apparently the bees knees.
